NOTE: IPv6 addresses are normally written as eight groups of four hexadecimal digits, where each
group is separated by a colon (:). Omitting zeros is accepted as described in Addressing.
SNMP over IPv6
You can configure SNMP over IPv6 transport so that an IPv6 host can perform SNMP queries and receive
SNMP notifications from a device running Dell Networking OS IPv6. The Dell Networking OS SNMP-server
commands for IPv6 have been extended to support IPv6. For more information regarding SNMP commands,
refer to the SNMP and SYSLOG chapters in the Dell Networking OS Command Line Interface Reference
Guide.
