Usage Information The router with the largest value assigned to an interface becomes the designated
router. If two interfaces contain the same designated router priority value, the
interface with the largest interface IP address becomes the designated router.
ip pim join-filter
Permit or deny PIM Join/Prune messages on an interface using an extended IP access list. This command
prevents the PIM-SM router from creating state based on multicast source and/or group.
Syntax
ip pim [vrf vrf-name] join-filter ext-access-list [in | out]
To remove the access list, use the no ip pim [vrf vrf-name] join-filter
ext-access-list command.
Parameters
vrf vrf-name (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword vrf followed by the name
of the VRF to permit or deny PIM join or prune messages on
an interface associated with that VRF.
ext-access-list Enter the name of an extended access list.
in Enter the keyword in to apply the ACL filter to in-bound
traffic.
out Enterthe keyword out to apply the ACL filter to out-bound
traffic.
