Information
You can separately configure both IPv4 and IPv6 domain name servers.
In a dual stack setup, the system sends both A (request for IPv4 RFC 1035) and AAAA (request for
IPv6 RFC 3596) record requests to a DNS server even if only the ip name-server command is
configured.
ipv6 nd dad attempts
To perform duplicate address detection (DAD) on an interface, configure the number of neighbor solicitation messages that are
sent.
Syntax
ipv6 nd dad attempts {number of attempts}
To restore the default value, use the no ipv6 nd dad attempts command.
Parameters
number of
attempts
Enter the number of attempts to be made to detect a duplicate address. The range
is from 0 to 15. Setting the value to 0 disables DAD on the interface.
Default 3 attempts
Command Modes INTERFACE (management interface only)
