Usage
Information
You cannot set this configuration for a peer that is associated with a peer group. Similarly, you cannot
associate a peer to a peer group if that peer is already configured with these settings.

neighbor default-originate
Inject the default route to a BGP peer or neighbor.
Syntax
neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} default-originate [route-map map-
name]
To remove a default route, use the no neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name}
default-originate command.
Parameters
ip-address
(OPTIONAL) Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted decimal format.
peer-group-name
Enter the name of the peer group to set the default route of all routers in that peer
group.
route-map
map-
name
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword route-map then the name of a configured route
map.
Defaults Not configured.

Information
If you apply a route map to a BGP peer or neighbor with the neighbor default-originate
command configured, the software does not apply the set filters in the route map to that BGP peer or
neighbor.
