832 VLAN Commands
private-vlan
Use the private-vlan command in VLAN Configuration mode to define a
private VLAN association between the primary and secondary VLANs.
Use the no form of the command to remove the private VLAN association.
Syntax
private-vlan {primary|isolated|community|association [add|remove]
vlan-
list
}
no private-vlan [association]
association
—Defines an association between the primary VLAN and
secondary VLANs.
primary
—Specify that the selected VLAN is the primary VLAN.
community
—Specify that the selected VLAN is the community VLAN.
isolated
—Specify that the selected VLAN is the isolated VLAN.
add
—Associates a secondary VLAN with the primary VLAN.
remove
—Deletes the secondary VLAN association with the primary
VLAN.
vlan-list
—A list of secondary VLAN ids to be mapped to a primary VLAN.
The VLAN list can contain multiple entries separated by commas and
containing no spaces. Each entry can be a single VLAN id or a hyphenated
range of VLANs.

User Guidelines
A community VLAN carries traffic among community ports and from
community ports to the promiscuous ports on the corresponding primary
VLAN.
