Create a Node Template for iSCSI Boot Nodes

Navigate to
HPC Cluster Manager
Configuration menu
, click
iSCSI
Deployment
.

Navigate to
Required iSCSI Deployment Tasks
Base node image
creation
and
click
Create a node template for iSCSI boot nodes.
The
Create Node Template Wizard
is displayed.

On the
Choose Node Template Type
window, select the kind of node
template that you want to create, and then click
Next
.

On the
Specify Template Name
window, type a name for the new
template, and optionally type a description for it. Click
Next
to continue.

On the
Select Operating System Image
window, select the
Image Name
from the list and click
Next
.

On the
iSCSI Storage Array Selection
window, select the storage arrays to
which you want to deploy iSCSI boot nodes by using the node template,
and then click
Next
.

On the
iSCSI Boot Configuration
window, select
The private network
adapters are configured for iSCSI boot
.

On the
iSCSI Qualified Name Configuration
window, select
Use template
string to assign each IQN
and enter the following string:
iqn.1995-05.com.broadcom.%MAC-NO-
DELIMITERS%.%HOSTNAME%

On the
Review
window, click
Create
.
Deploy iSCSI Boot Nodes

Navigate to
HPC Cluster Manager
Configuration
menu and click
iSCSI Deployment
.

In the
Required iSCSI Deployment Tasks
list, under
iSCSI boot node
deployment:

Click
Deploy iSCSI boot nodes
.
The
Deploy iSCSI Boot Node Wizard
is displayed.
