On the
Specify Local Administrator Password for Compute Node
window, select
Use a specific password
if you want to specify a password
for the local administrator account on the compute nodes, and then click
Next
.

On the
Specify Windows Updates
window, select
Include a step in node
template to download and install updates for my cluster using Microsoft
Update or the Enterprise Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
if
you want to install updates on the nodes.
Alternatively, select
Add specific updates to the template
and type the
name of the specific update.

Click
Next
to continue.

On the
Review
window, click
Deploy
.

Use the following procedure to determine the correct time to turn on the
base node computer:
a
In
Node Management
, click
Nodes
.
b
In the list of nodes, click the
Base Node
. It must be listed with
Transitional
node health.
c
In the
Detail Pane
, click
Provisioning Log
. The provisioning log for
the base node is visible.
d
Review the provisioning log until you see the following entry:
Waiting for node to boot into WINPE.
e
After you see the entry, turn on the base node computer.
Create a Base Node Image

Navigate to
HPC Cluster Manager
Configuration menu
and click
iSCSI Deployment
.

Navigate to
Required iSCSI Deployment Tasks
Base node image
creation
and click
Create a base node image
.
The
Create Base Node Image
dialog box is displayed.

Select the base node from the list of nodes. Only nodes that are already
deployed on an iSCSI target are listed.
