Download the latest network drivers from the
Drivers and Downloads
section at
support.dell.com
.

Browse for the relevant model of the compute nodes and select
Windows Server 2008 R2
as the operating system.

Download the relevant Broadcom driver and the corresponding Dell
driver if the compute nodes have PowerEdge Expandable RAID
Controller (PERC) S100 or PERC S300 adapters to the head node.

On the head node, run the downloaded driver package
Bcom_LAN_14.X.X_W2K3_8_64_AXX.exe
and extract the contents
to the default location
C:\Broadcom
.

Click
Start
Run
and type
C:\Broadcom\Driver_Management_Apps_Installer\s
etup.exe -a
.
This command extracts the additional plug and play (PnP) device
drivers required by some of the models.

In the
InstallShield Wizard
, click
Next
and type
C:\Broadcom
as
the network location. Click
Install
.

Click
Finish
and close the installer.

In the
HPC Cluster Manager
, click
Images
in the
Configurations
pane.

Click
Manage Drivers (all images)
on the right side of the window in
the
Image Actions
panel.

In the
Manage Drivers
window, click
Add…
and browse to
C:\Broadcom\NX2_W2K3_8_64_RIS_Drivers\b06nd51.

Select
b06nd.inf
and click
Open
. This file adds the drivers needed for
network installation into the compute node pre-install environment.

Use the
Add
button to add the following driver files to the image:
•Evnd51.inf
under the location
C:\Broadcom\NX2_W2K3_8_64_RIS_Drivers\evnd51
•
Bxdiag.inf
under the location
C:\Broadcom\Program Files 64\
Broadcom\BDrv5706\DIAG
•
Evbd.inf
under the location
C:\Broadcom\Program Files 64\
Broadcom\BDrv5706\EVBD
