 Administrator access on the system; to run the Dell Discovery utility, and Dell PowerVault
Modular Disk Storage Manager IP list extraction Utility
 Minimum disk space of 5 MB; for installing and running the Dell MD Storage Array Management
Pack Suite version 6.1
 (Optional) Dell PowerVault Modular Disk Storage Manager (MDSM) is required to diagnose and
resolve recovery failure alerts

Managed System Requirements
Controller Firmware
 The supported Controller Firmware (CFW) versions are:
o 08.20.21.60, 08.20.20.60 for MD34x0, MD38x0i, MD38x0f.
o 08.25.09.61, 08.25.08.60 for MD32x0, MD32x0i, MD36x0i, MD36x0f.
(Optional) Storage Array Host Software
Install Dell PowerVault Modular Disk Storage Manager (MDSM) Client on the server that hosts the Dell
PowerVault MD storage arrays in order to discover the storage array through in-band. The
recommended version is 11.25.
The supported versions are:
 11.20
 11.25
