Discovering and Monitoring of Dell PowerVault MD

Storage Arrays

• Supports discovery and monitoring of: MD3000,

MD3000i, MD3200, MD3200i, MD3220, MD3220i,

MD3260, MD3260i, MD3600i, MD3600f, MD3620i,

MD3620f, MD3660i, and MD3660f.

• Manges the recovery failure events from the Dell

MD Storage Arrays as alerts in the OpsMgr.

• Displays complete inventory of an MD Storage

Array in the OpsMgr's Diagram View.

Access Recovery Guru information The management pack provides Recovery Guru

information as a point of reference for troubleshooting the

Dell MD Storage Array recovery failures. The recovery

failures show up as alerts in the OpsMgr console. The

Recovery Guru information appears in the KB article

associated with the alerts.

Supported Dell PowerVault MD Storage Arrays And Configurations

The Dell MD Storage Array Management Pack Suite version 5.0 supports the following Dell PowerVault MD storage

arrays:

• MD3000/MD3000i and the daisy chain configuration with MD1000.

• MD3200/MD3200i and the daisy chain configuration with MD1200 or MD1220.

• MD3220/MD3220i and the daisy chain configuration with MD1200 or MD1220.

• MD3600i/MD3620i and the daisy chain configuration with MD1200 or MD1220.

• MD3600f/MD3620f and the daisy chain configuration with MD1200 or MD1220.

• MD3260/MD3260i and the daisy chain configuration with MD1200 or MD1220.

• MD3660i/MD3660f and the daisy chain configuration with MD1200 or MD1220.

Supported Operating Systems

For The Managed Node

When you discover storage arrays through in-band, install the Modular Disk Storage Manager (MDSM) software on the

system where you attach the storage array through the Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), Internet Small Computer System

Interface (iSCSI), or Fibre Channels (FC) ports.
