10. Depending on the vCenter configuration, one of the following options displays:
– If resource pools are configured — On the Resource Pool page, select the pool of virtual servers to which
the Dell Management Plug-in will be deployed.
– If resource pools are not configured — On the Hosts/Clusters page, select the host or cluster to which the
Dell Management Plrug-in will be deployed.
11. If there is more than one datastore available on the host, the Datastore page displays. Select the location to store
Dell Management Pluig-in files, and click Next.

12. In the Disk Format window, choose one of the following:
a. To allocate storage space as needed to the virtual machines, click thin provisioned format. This option is not
recommended.
b. To allocate all needed storage space up front to the virtual machines, click thick provisioned format .
This one is recommended. Choosing thick provisioning, hypervisor allocates the resources in advance as
compared to on demand allocation.
NOTE: Thick provisioned format is recommended for better performance.
