Enabling or Disabling WMI Traffic Using Firewall

If firewall is enabled on Dell Lifecycle Controller Utility for Configuration Manager 2012 SP1, Configuration Manager

2012, Configuration Manager 2007; then, to run remote PowerShell commands for the WMI class, you must enable the

WMI traffic.

To enable WMI traffic using firewall user interface:

1. In Control Panel, click Security and then click Windows Firewall.

2. Click Change Settings, and then click Exceptions.

3. In Exceptions , to enable WMI traffic, select Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).

NOTE: To disable WMI traffic, clear Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).
