Introduction
Dell Lifecycle Controller Integration (DLCI) for Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 (Configuration
Manager) and Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager (Configuration Manager) enables the
administrators to leverage the remote enablement capabilities of Dell Lifecycle Controller, available as part of the
Integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC).
At a high level, the remote enablement capabilities consists of:
Autodiscovery
Hardware configuration
Firmware comparison and updates
Remote OS-Deployment for individual or a collection of Dell systems
What is New
This release of Dell Lifecycle Controller Integration for ConfigMgr supports the following features:

New Feature Functionality
Configure and install operating system on yx2x (12th
generation or 12G servers)
You can configure 12G servers using Dell Lifecycle
Controller Integration through Lifecycle Controller 2.0. All
the features of previous version of Dell Lifecycle
Controller Integration are supported for 12G servers.
NOTE: In the server name format yxxx; y denotes
alphabets, for example M, R, or T; and x denotes
numbers.
A single installer to install and configure Dell Lifecycle
Controller Integration
You can use the single installer to install DLCI 2.0.1 in
environments (Configuration Manager 2007 or
Configuration Manager 2012) based on the version of
Configuration Manager present in the system. If a
previous version of DLCI is present with Configuration
Manager 2007, then the installer will initiate an upgrade.
The installer will deploy appropriate components based on
the Configuration Manager version and its components
installed in the server.
Automatically configure Dell Provisioning Server During installation you can choose to automatically
configure Dell Provisioning Server.
All features of Dell Lifecycle Controller Integration 2.0 are
supported for Configuration Manager 2012
After you install DLCI in the Configuration Manager 2012
environment, all the DLCI features are enabled.
Network interface cards (NIC) / converged network
adapter (CNA) cards
New NIC/CNA cards configurations are supported.
