WS-Management Methods
Important
If the supported SD card is installed and not formatted, executing the
download ISO command will first format the SD card and then download
to ISO image.
The WS-Management methods under the operating system deployment
profile for vFlash are:
DownloadISOToVFlash
— Downloads the image to the vFlash. Support
is available for CIFS, TFTP and NFS.
BootToISOFromVFlash
— Boots to the ISO image that has been staged
on the vFlash. You cannot perform this action if you are using the iDRAC
GUI or RACADM commands to communicate with the vFlash. This
command will also reboot or power on your system if it is in an
Off
state
once executed.
DetachISOFromVFlash
— Detaches the partition so that the console
cannot access it anymore.
DeleteISOFromVFlash
— Deletes the ISO image from the vFlash
partition. This command will execute only if the ISO is detached.
You will need to perform the following steps to complete the process:

Download the ISO image to the vFlash.

Get the concrete job ID and poll for the completion of this job.

Run the
BootToISOFromVFlash command
. This will attach the
image as a CD ROM, boot to the attached image and then continue with
the operating system installation.

Get the concrete job ID and poll for the completion of this job.

Detach the partition on the vFlash SD card.
6
Delete the ISO image from the partition.
