• Proxy Server — The server host name of the proxy server.
• Proxy Port — The port number of the proxy server.
• Proxy Type — The type of proxy server. HTTP and SOCKS 4
proxy types are supported by USC-LCE.
• Proxy User Name — The user name required for authentication
on the proxy server.
• Proxy Password — The password required for authentication on
the proxy server.
• Test Network Connection — To verify if USC-LCE is able to
connect to the IP address that you provided. By default, it pings
the Gateway and DNS server IP, and also pings any host and proxy
IP.
Local Drive (CD/DVD/USB)
Select Local Drive if you are accessing the updates from a local USB mass
storage device or the
Dell Server Updates DVD. To provide the path to the
updates:
a Select the volume label from the drop-down menu.
b In the Catalog Location or Update package path field, type the name
of the DUP (for example,
APP_WIN_RYYYZZZ.EXE ) along with
the sub-directory if required. Or, if you have the
catalog.gz file, you
need not enter the file name, instead type the sub-directory if any.
NOTE: If the catalog file and DUP are downloaded from ftp.dell.com, do
not copy them into a sub-directory.

Network Share
Select Network Share if you are accessing the updates from a shared folder
on a network.
To update using Network Share, select either CIFS or NFS and type the
following details:
