What’s new in USC/USC-LCE 1.4
The new features introduced in USC/USC-LCE 1.4:
• vFlash SD Card
– Configuration Wizard
– Determine different vFlash SD card properties:
• vFlash present or absent
•Health status
•vFlash size
– Enable and disable vFlash SD card
– Initialize vFlash SD card
•Operating System
– Install custom operating systems

– Install the following UEFI capable operating systems:
NOTE: The Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) is an industry
standard interface between an operating system and the platform firmware.
Some benefits of using an UEFI capable operating system: boot from storage
devices of capacity 2.2 TB and above, operating system boots faster, supports
IPv6 network protocol and enhanced network security.
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (64-bit)
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit)
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008 SP2 (64-bit)
• SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) version 11 SP1 (64-bit)
• Dell Update Packages (DUPs) — Single component updates using only
Windows based DUPs for USC-LCE version 1.4 and above.
