This section provides information about the switch settings that the management switch
S3048 ships with.
3.4.1.1 S3048 predefined and preconfigured port functions
Figure 11 shows the details of the predefined port functions and the configuration on the
S3048 management switch.
Figure 11 S3048 predefined and preconfigured port functions
The port connectivity is predefined and preconfigured with the following functional logic:
Management server connectivity: Ports 26 connect to the network ports on the
management server.
SAN switches connectivity: Ports 78 that are located in the same column
connect to the management port on the two SAN switches.
DAAD storage connectivity: Ports 924 connect to the network ports on the
DAAD storage nodes.
o The ports in the same column connect to the network ports on the same
DAAD storage node
o The DAAD node number increases from left to right
o In each column, top ports connect to the management port (LOM port 1
or eth0), and the bottom ports connect to the iDRAC port on the same
DAAD node
Database node connectivity: Ports 2540 connect to the network ports on the
database nodes.
o The ports in the same column connect to the network ports on the same
database node
o The database node number increases from right to left
