Some components within the DISOD solution rack are fixed in quantity, such as the
switches and the management server. However, because DISOD is a scalable solution
some components such as the database nodes and the DAAD nodes are variable in
quantity. As a result, the private IP addresses for the fixed components are predictable and
are provided in the following subsections. For information about the private IP addresses
used on the switches, see the
3.1.1
Static IP addresses
section, and for the private IP
addresses preassigned on the management server, see the
3.1.2
Management
server network configuration
section.
The number of database nodes and DAAD nodes within a DISOD solution rack depends on
the DISOD size a particular customer is using. Therefore, for the scalable or variable
components such as the database nodes and the DAAD nodes, user must refer to Table 4
to determine the IP address for the particular network component or port. The IP
addresses are preassigned, starting with the first IP address in the range and incremented
with each increasing node number. Refer to section
3.1.3 Static IP addresses of Database
and DAAD
nodes that provides a 2×2 DISOD configuration as an example to help with the
static IP address design logic for the database and the DAAD nodes.
3.1.1 Static IP addresses of Switches
All the switches in the DISOD solution rack ship with preassigned static IP addresses. Table
5 lists these preassigned static IP addresses.

These routable public IP addresses are temporarily assigned. These should be changed to the customer’s public
network before plugging the DISOD ToR switches to the customer’s public network to prevent any IP address
conflicts.
