3 DISOD network configuration
This section provides information about the hardware and software network that DISOD
ships with. It provides information about the following network configurations:
DISOD private network
LAN switch configurations
SAN switch configurations
Management switch configurations
Management and monitoring network
3.1 DISOD private management network
To provide an out-of-box experience, DISOD is built with a self-contained private
management network that is preconfigured before the solution is shipped out to the
customers. This helps reduce the hardware and software network configuration efforts
required to be done at the customer site. This is achieved by identifying and assigning
predefined IP addresses to those network ports that do not have dependency on the
customer’s public network.
Table 4 lists the preconfigured static IP address ranges for the different DISOD
components.

On the switches, the static management IP is configured on the private VLAN30 network; Physical management
ports are not configured.
2
The HA network ports on the two DAAD nodes configured in an HA pair are attached directly to each other.
Thus, multiple DAAD HA pairs can exist within a single DISOD rack with the same static IP addresses.
