Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
2. Enter Service Mode.
3. Remove the base cover.
4. Remove the fan.
5. Remove the display assembly.
6. Remove the I/O board.

Steps
1. Remove the two screws (M1.6x2) that secure the power button to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
2. Lift the power button, along with the optional fingerprint-reader cable, off the slot on the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
