Prerequisites

1. Remove the base cover.

2. Remove the battery.

3. Remove the wireless card.

4. Remove the display assembly.

5. Remove the display panel.

Procedure

CAUTION: Place the display-panel assembly on a soft and clean surface to avoid scratching the display.

1. Peel the tape to access the latch for the display cable.

2. Open the latch and disconnect the display cable.

3. Peel the tape that secures the display cable to the display panel.
