Removing the I/O board

Prerequisites

1. Remove the base cover.

2. Remove the battery.

3. Follow the procedure from step 1 to step 4 in “Removing the hard drive”(Only for computers shipped with a hard drive).

Procedure

1. Open the latches and disconnect the I/O-board cable, power and volume-buttons board cable, and sensor-board cables from

the I/O board.

2. Remove the two screws (M2x3) that secure the I/O board to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
