on the host server.
Issue 210079:
Description
While creating virtual disks using iDRAC on Internet Explorer, if you select more than 100 disks an unexpected error
occurs. Maximum number of physical disks that can be selected for RAID 10, 50, and 60 is 256.
Resolution
Use other supported browsers such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. You can also try
using other interfaces such as RACADM WS-MAN, OMSS, or PERC CLI tools to create a VD.
Versions/Systems Affected:
All Dell 13th generation of PowerEdge servers.
Issue 239011:
Description:
Email alert is not supported for iDRAC Basic license and it is always enabled on the iDRAC web interface. Disable the
email alert checkboxes for basic management license.
Resolution:
None.
Versions/Systems Affected:
All Dell 13th generation of PowerEdge servers.
Issue 233766:
Description
Peak power and current values in iDRAC8 web GUI may appear abnormally high. Additionally, Lifecycle Controller
logs may generate a false warning entry: “The system board Consumption current is greater
than the upper critical threshold.”
Resolution
None
Versions/Systems Affected
All Dell 12th generation of PowerEdge systems with iDRAC8.
Issue 233109:
Description
In rare instances, iDRAC may lose connectivity with an internal memory component without generating any alert or log
entry. When this occurs, operations that require a soft reset such as racreset, racresetcfg, firmware update, and factory
reset may render iDRAC unresponsive until an AC power cycle is performed.
Resolution
The iDRAC can detect the connectivity problem and log a “SYS198” message to the Lifecycle Controller Log. In
addition, the iDRAC will block most operations that would involve or invoke a soft reset. With the exception of the
blocked operations, the iDRAC should function normally, but an AC power cycle must be scheduled as soon as
possible. When in this degraded state, if a blocked operation is attempted, an appropriate error will occur, but may be
different depending on the interface.
Versions/Systems Affected
All Dell PowerEdge systems with iDRAC8.
