Issue 171960:
Description
Lifecycle Controller firmware is inaccessible after a performing hardware diagnostic and rebooting the system. This
issue is captured in the Lifecycle Controller log.
Resolution
Reboot the system again to start Lifecycle Controller.

Dell 13th generation of PowerEdge systems with iDRAC8.
Issue 227854:
Description
On certain instances, the communication between iSM and iDRAC fails after enabling or disabling the USB NIC port.
Resolution
Rebooting iDRAC using the racreset command in the RACADM interface.
Versions/Systems Affected:
Dell 13th generation of PowerEdge servers with iDRAC8.
Issue 235870:
Description:
On systems with Emulex NDC, iDRAC may lose connectivity while switching LOMs.
Resolution
Reboot the host operating system or power cycle the chassis to recover.
Versions/Systems Affected:
Dell 12th generation and 13th generation of PowerEdge server with Emulex NDC.
Issue 245083:
Description
When Direct-attached storage (DAS) drives are inserted or a copyback operation is started on these drives, Lifecycle
Controller logs and other events such as SNMP alerts, syslogs, or email alerts are not generated.
Resolution
You can view the information on the drives inserted on the iDRAC interfaces web interface, RACADM, and WS-
MAN. The copyback operation status is updated in the Lifecycle Controller logs and events are generated after the
operation is completed.

Dell PowerEdge systems with DAS drives that are directly wired to the controller.
Issue 239254:
Description
On systems with USB 3.0 enabled in BIOS and running Windows Server 2008 R2, the iDRAC virtual USB NIC device
driver does not get loaded automatically.
Resolution
When USB NIC is enabled in iDRAC for the first time, the iDRAC virtual USB NIC device is displayed in the other
devices list in the Windows Device Manager. Select the iDRAC Virtual USB NIC device and manually install the
Microsoft Remote NDIS compatible Device Network Adapter driver.
