Using various Lifecycle Controller-Remote Services' capabilities, you can perform dierent congurations on a system throughout its
lifecycle. You can perform operations such as BIOS, iDRAC, RAID, FC-HBA, and NIC congurations, and operating system deployment on
the system.
Server conguration proles
The server conguration proles le contains the component conguration information that is used to apply the conguration for BIOS,
iDRAC, RAID, NIC, FC-HBA, System, and Lifecycle Controller by importing the le to a target system.
The export and import of Server Conguration Proles are supported by the WS-MAN and Redsh APIs.
For more information and white papers, see Server Cloning with Server Conguration Proles and Creating and Managing Server
Conguration Proles documents available at delltechcenter.com.
BIOS conguration
The BIOS and boot conguration feature gets and sets any of the congurable BIOS attributes that are exposed in BIOS UEFI HII. You can
perform the following operations:
Retrieve current conguration of BIOS inventory
Retrieve current boot conguration settings
Manage the boot order conguration
Change the BIOS boot mode or UEFI boot mode
Manage BIOS passwords
Change the boot order
