The following message is displayed in both these cases:
“The upload operation has been started. Completion time may
vary based on network performance and image size. (For
example, a 1GB image may take over 1 hour.) To avoid data
corruption do not reset the DRAC while the operation is
progressing.”
This error will be fixed in the next iDRAC firmware release using
the following messages:
1. For scenario #1 above, the message "Partition is busy"
or "SD card is busy" will be displayed
2. For scenario #2 above, the message “A partition already
exists with this index” will be displayed
* For the standard SD card, setting a detached partition as a first
boot device displays an incorrect error message "Object value
modified successfully." Since you can only set attached partitions
as the first boot device, this message should be "ERROR: The
specified object value is not valid."
Note: A standard SD card refers to a normal off-the-shelf SD card
that supports only limited vFlash features.
* Sometimes the "Save As" and "Clear Log" buttons on the "Remote
Access" > "Logs" > "iDRAC Log" page may disappear when the mouse
is hovered near those buttons. It is a known limitation with the GUI.
To resolve this, click "Refresh".
* Dell OpenManage IT Assistant may display incorrect details for the
Module SD Card in the Alert Logs page after the 1.5 version of iDRAC
firmware is installed. For example, the Module SD card may be shown
as "Present" when the vFlash Media is removed from the system. All
the other Alert Logs details will be shown correctly. This is a known
incompatibility issue between iDRAC firmware and Dell OpenManage IT
Assistant which will be fixed in the future releases.
* On few Windows operating systems, under certain conditions, the iDRAC
vmcli.exe will fail. This is due to the run-time components
of Visual C++(R) Libraries (VC++ 2008 redistributable package) required
to run applications that are not available. To resolve this, download
and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86)
from the following location:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9B2DA534-3E03-
4391-8A4D-074B9F2BC1BF&displaylang=en.
* After using the "racadm vflashsd initialize" command from SSH to
initialize a 1GB vFlash SD card, issuing the "racadm vflashsd status"
command to get the last process status will return "ERROR: SD card
not present." After several seconds, running the same command will
return a message that the status is complete. This error message
will be replaced with the message "SD card busy or % complete" in
the next iDRAC firmware release.
* After using the local racadm command "racadm vflashsd initialize" to
