Generating a New Certificate Signing Request
NOTE: Each new CSR overwrites any previous CSR data stored in the firmware.
The information in the CSR should match the information in the certificate.
Otherwise, iDRAC6 will not accept the certificate.

On the
SSL
screen, select
Generate a New Certificate Signing Request
(CSR)
and click
Next
.

On the
Generate Certificate Signing Request (CSR)
screen, enter a value
for each CSR attribute.
Table 5-16 describes the
Generate Certificate Signing Request (CSR)
screen options.

Click
Generate
to create the CSR.

Click
Download
to save the CSR file to your remote management station.
Upload Server
Certificate
Select the option and click Next to open the Certificate
Upload screen and upload the certificate sent to you by
the CA. See "Uploading a Server Certificate" on page 110
for more information.
NOTE: Only X509 v3, Base 64-encoded certificates are
accepted by iDRAC6. DER-encoded certificates are not
accepted.
View Server Certificate Select the option and click Next to open the View Server
Certificate screen and view the existing server certificate.
See "Viewing a Server Certificate" on page 111 for more
information.

Field Description
Common Name The exact name being certified (usually the Web server's
domain name, for example, xyzcompany.com). All
characters except for '$' is supported.
Organization Name The name associated with this organization (for example,
XYZ Corporation). All characters except for '$' is
supported.
