Creating an Association Object
NOTE: iDRAC6 Association Object is derived from Group and its scope is set to
Domain Local.

Console Root
(MMC) window, right-click a container.

Dell Remote Management Object Advanced

This opens the
New Object
window.

Enter a name for the new object.

Association Object

Select the scope for the
Association Object

Provide access privileges to the authenticated users for accessing the
created association objects. To do this:

Go to
Administrative Tools
ADSI Edit
. The
ADSI Edit
window is
displayed.

In the right-pane, navigate to the created association object, right-
click and select
Properties
.

Security
tab, click
Add
.

Authenticated Users
is added to the list of
Groups and user

Adding Objects to an Association Object
Using the Association Object Properties window, you can associate users or
user groups, privilege objects, and iDRAC6 devices or iDRAC6 device groups.
You can add groups of Users and iDRAC6 devices. The procedure for creating
Dell-related groups and non-Dell-related groups is identical.
