Network exposure Following ports are used for HTTP and HTTPS communications between different services:
● 8000

Communication security
settings
Device login is allowed only when a valid certificate is received from Wyse Management Suite.
For devices that do not have valid certificates, only guest user login is allowed.
Data security
● User data is encrypted using the approved encryption method and stored in a database. The device-specific configurations
are stored in the device-specific database and user level configurations are stored in the user database.
● Dell Hybrid Client does not log any sensitive data in the log file.
● All inputs are validated before passing them as parameters to respective scripts.
● Sensitive data is encrypted before storing and are decrypted when it is used by respective applications.
● User-specific data is deleted when you log off from the account.
● Dell Hybrid Client enables you to allow or block certain USB ports.
Manage USB devices
Dell Hybrid Client enables you to configure and manage the USB devices that are connected to your device using Wyse
Management Suite. You can block access to USB devices, making them inaccessible from the client. This setting cannot be
configured from user policy groups.
Steps
1. Log in to Wyse Management Suite.
2. Go to the Groups & Configs page, and select your preferred group.
3. Click Edit Policies > Hybrid Client.
The Configuration Control | Hybrid Client page is displayed.
4. Click the Advanced tab.
5. Expand Privacy & Security, and click USB Lockdown.
6. In the USB Lockdown, configure one of the following options:
● Enable all USB devices—Click the Enable all toggle key to enable or disable the option. If this option is enabled, the
operating system detects all USB devices that are connected to the device. If this option is disabled, you must enable one
of the following options:
○ Disable all excluding HID
○ Disable USB devices using Vendor ID/Product ID
○ Disable by USB class
● Disable all excluding HID—Click the Disable all excluding HID toggle key to enable or disable the option. If this
option is enabled, the operating system detects only Human Interface Devices (HID) such as keyboard and mouse. If this
option is disabled, you must enable one of the following options:
○ Enable all USB devices
○ Disable USB devices using Vendor ID/Product ID
○ Disable by USB class
