Desktop overview
Dell Hybrid Client boots to the desktop after a successful login. This is the default screen that is displayed after you log in to the
device—without autostart of any connections or applications. The desktop screen uses the GNOME user interface that is
present in Ubuntu 18.04, but is customized to create a Dell Hybrid Client environment. The Dell Hybrid Client desktop has a Dell
default background with a horizontal top bar and a vertical task bar.
The Dell Hybrid Client desktop consists of the following screen elements:
● Show Applications ( )—Displays the applications menu that provides access to all the Dell Hybrid Client configurations.
● Top bar—Displays time and provides access to Activities overview, Clock and calendar, System Information, Dell Client
Agent (DCA), System menu, and the Notification icon.
● Taskbar—Displays all your favorite applications.
