VDI clients support
Dell Hybrid Client supports Citrix, VMware, RDP connections, and File Type Association (FTA). Users can add multiple
connections to access desktop or applications on VDI servers. File Type Association can also be configured with VDI
applications.
Known issue and expected behavior
The following are the known issues and expected behavior of the VDI clients with Dell Hybrid Client:
You must create a connection using FQDN and time should be synchronized with RDP server domain to use SSO with RDP.
NOTE: SSO is supported from Windows 10 operating system and Windows server 2016.
For VMware FTA, administrator must provide file extensions and respective application names from Wyse Management
Suite. However, for Citrix and RDP FTA settings, Extensions and Application name that is configured from Citrix and RDP
Broker agent server is fetched automatically after your login. While launching files from explorer, matching application opens
the files automatically based on the file type.
After changing the keyboard layout, you must sign out from the current session for the changes to reflect inside the session.
Citrix session launch from the Chrome browser is not supported. It is supported only from the Firefox browser. Desktop and
application files are downloaded, and launched.
