Install a Dell-signed application
Prerequisites
Ensure that you get your application signed by Dell by contacting your Dell Sales Representative and submitting the
application file that needs to be signed. Once the signing process is complete, the Dell Sales Representative will deliver the
signed application.
Steps
1. Log in to Wyse Management Suite.
2. Go to the Groups & Configs page, and select your preferred group.
3. Click Edit Policies > Hybrid Client.
The Configuration Control | Hybrid Client page is displayed.
4. Click the Advanced tab.
5. Depending on the version of the Dell Hybrid Client software that you have installed on your device, configure the following
options:
● Devices powered by Dell Hybrid Client version 1.5:
a. Expand Privacy & Security and click Security Profile.
b. From the Security Profile drop-down list, select High or Medium. The default option is set to Medium.
c. Specify a port number or a range of port numbers in a Comma-Separated Value (CSV) format.
d. Click Save and Publish.
● Devices powered by Dell Hybrid Client version 1.1:
a. Expand Application Security, and click Application Deployment.
b. Click the Secure Deployment Mode toggle key to ON state to allow only Dell-signed applications to be installed on
Dell Hybrid Client. By default, the option is enabled.
c. Click Save and Publish.
6. Use the standard application policy or the advanced application policy to deploy the Dell-signed application to Dell Hybrid
Client.

Install a custom-signed application
Prerequisites
Ensure that you get your application signed and have procured the signed certificate from the concerned authority. For detailed
steps on how to use the Reporter OpenSSL utility to create custom-signed certificates, see the How to create a self-signed
SSL Certificate using OpenSSL for Reporter 9.x article at knowledge.broadcom.com.
Steps
1. Log in to Wyse Management Suite.
2. Go to the Groups & Configs page, and select your preferred group.
3. Click Edit Policies > Hybrid Client.
The Configuration Control | Hybrid Client page is displayed.
4. Click the Advanced tab.
5. Depending on the version of the Dell Hybrid Client software that you have installed on your device, configure the following
options:
● Devices powered by Dell Hybrid Client version 1.5:
a. Expand Privacy & Security and click Security Profile.
b. From the Security Profile drop-down list, select Medium.
c. Browse and upload one or more signed certificates. Supported file types are .crt and .cer.
d. Click Save and Publish.
● Devices powered by Dell Hybrid Client version 1.1:
a. Expand Application Security, and click Application Deployment.
b. Click the Secure Deployment Mode toggle key to ON state. By default, the option is enabled.
