The application overview screen consists of the following screen elements:
Search boxEnables you to search for applications by typing the application name in the Search text box.
Firefox browser-Enables you to browse the web using the Mozilla Firefox web browser.
Chrome browserEnables you to browse the web using the Google Chrome web browser.
File ExplorerEnables you to manage all the local, cloud, and external files and folders.
Device SettingsEnables you to configure the local configurations, such as, Network, Monitor, Peripherals, Display
Personalization, Region and Language, Power, Password, and Dell Client Agent. The Device Settings icon is
displayed on the Application overview screen upon system startup in both user and guest mode.
VLC Media PlayerEnables you to play multimedia files.
Libre Office SuiteEnables you to create and edit text documents, spreadsheets, presentation, drawings, and so on.
Text EditorEnables you to edit your text.
Image ViewerEnables you to open an image file.
Zoom clientEnables you to join a Zoom meeting. Zoom client is not available as a default application on Wyse 5070
devices with 16 GB storage capacity.
Connection and application shortcutsEnables you to quickly access all the available VDI connections, published
applications, and cloud applications. Citrix and VMware clients are not available as a default application on Wyse 5070
devices with 16 GB storage capacity.
Shut down, log off, or restart
The Power Off option enables you to shut down the device powered by Dell Hybrid Client. The Restart option enables you to
perform a full restart of the device powered by Dell Hybrid Client. The Log out option enables you to log out from the current
account. If the data roaming feature is enabled, the logoff, shut down, or restart may take approximately twenty seconds to one
minute based on the network bandwidth and size of the data roaming profile. If network is not available, the logoff, shut down,
or restart may take approximately one minute.
Steps
1. On the top bar, click the System menu icon.
2. Click the Power Off/Log out button, and do either of the following:
Power OffClick the Power Off option and do one of the following:
Power OffClick the Power Off option to immediately shut down the device.
NOTE: The device automatically restarts after 60 s.
RestartClick the Restart option to restart the device.
CancelClick the Cancel option to cancel system shutdown or restart.
