Configure the date and time
Use Wyse Management Suite to configure the date and time settings for the Dell Hybrid Client.
Steps
1. Log in to Wyse Management Suite.
2. Go to the Groups & Configs page, and select your preferred group.
3. Click Edit Policies > Hybrid Client.
The Configuration Control | Hybrid Client page is displayed.
4. Click the Advanced tab.
5. Expand Region Settings, and do the following:
a. Click Region to configure the region settings such as Time zone and Time Format.
● From the Time Zone drop-down list, select the time zone name.
● From the Time Format drop-down list, select the time format—12 Hours or 24 Hours.
b. Click Time Server and specify the FQDN or IP address of the time server. Maximum allowed length is 127 characters.
NOTE: You can configure multiple time servers. Each value must be separated by a semicolon.
6. Click Save and Publish.
Desktop overview
Dell Hybrid Client boots to the desktop after a successful login. This is the default screen that is displayed after you log in to the
device—without autolaunch of any connections or applications. The desktop screen in Dell Hybrid Client uses the GNOME user
interface that is present in the Ubuntu operating system, but is customized to create a Dell Hybrid Client environment. The Dell
Hybrid Client desktop has a Dell default background with a horizontal top bar and a vertical task bar.
NOTE: In every Dell Hybrid Client release, the default desktop background wallpaper may be changed.

The Dell Hybrid Client desktop consists of the following screen elements:
● Show Applications ( )—Displays the applications menu that provides access to all the Dell Hybrid Client configurations.
● Top bar—Displays time and provides access to Activities overview, Clock and calendar, System Information, Dell Client
Agent (DCA), System menu, and the Notification icon.
