Figure 19 and Figure 20 present the same performance data but plotted relative to the one core result.
This makes it easy to see the scaling of the solution. That is, the performance improvement as more cores
are used for the analysis. Problem scalability depends on many factors such as the number of degrees of
freedom in the problem, the particular solution type, and solver being used. For the DMP solver with 28
processor cores and two GPUs, scaling for all of the benchmark problems ranges from 3.5–19.7. For the
SMP solver with eight processor cores and two GPUs, scaling ranges from 1.2–3.9 across all the
benchmark problems.
