4.5.2 Software FCoE initiators (SC and SCv Series)
Software FCoE initiators may be provided by the host OS vendor and can be used with any industry-standards-based network interface controller
(NIC) that supports software-based FCoE. The following table provides guidance on which software FCoE initiators have been tested with each
platform and the support level for advanced features, such as boot from SAN.
If boot from SAN functionality is desired, it is advised that the design include one of the Adapters listed ensure the indicated support level. Always
verify OS support by SC Series product.
