Multicast Buffering on the S60
The S60 supports multicast buffering for all multicast traffic on the standalone buffering unit. The
multicast-buffering enable CLI enables messages for multicast traffic and provides the capability to buffer
multicast traffic.
Use the shell command
dump chg allocbuffscnt to count all buffer usage for multicast traffic in the
standalone unit.
Figure 10-10. Count multicast traffic buffer usage
Use the pe clear shell command to clear the QMC_ERROR register. This indicates the QMC_ERROR0
register is aged out and has been flushed. The buffers are not completely used in the buffering unit,
however, the packets are dropped due to the aging timer trigger.
