Usage
Information
In the FTOS best path selection process, the path with the highest weight value is preferred.
If the set weight command is configured in a route map applied to this neighbor, the weight set in that
command overrides the weight set in the neighbor weight command.

Specify the networks for the BGP process and enter them in the BGP routing table.
Syntax
network ip-address mask [route-map map-name]
To remove a network, use the no network ip-address mask [route-map map-name] command.

Information
FTOS software resolves the network address configured by the network command with the routes in
the main routing table to ensure that the networks are reachable via non-BGP routes and non-default
routes.

Note: Reset the neighbor connection (clear ip bgp * command) to apply the weight to the
connection and recompute the best path.
set weight Assign a weight to all paths meeting the route map criteria.

ip-address
Enter an IP address in dotted decimal format of the network.
mask
Enter the mask of the IP address in the slash prefix length format (for example, /24).
The mask appears in command outputs in dotted decimal format (A.B.C.D).
route-map
map-name
(OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword route-map followed by the name of an established route
map.
Only the following ROUTE-MAP mode commands are supported:
• match ip address
• set community
• set local-preference
• set metric
• set next-hop
• set origin
• set weight
If the route map is not configured, the default is deny (to drop all routes).
redistribute Redistribute routes into BGP.
