LLDP-MED Network Connectivity Device — any device that provides access
to an IEEE 802 LAN to an LLDP-MED endpoint device, and supports IEEE
802.1AB (LLDP) and TIA-1057 (LLDP-MED). The Dell Force10 system is an
LLDP-MED network connectivity device.
With regard to connected endpoint devices, LLDP-MED provides network connectivity
devices with the ability to:
manage inventory
manage Power over Ethernet (POE)
identify physical location
identify network policy
advertise med guest-voice

Configure the system to advertise a separate limited voice service for a guest user with their
own IP telephony handset or other appliances that support interactive voice services.
Syntax
advertise med guest-voice
{vlan-id layer2_priority DSCP_value} | {priority-tagged number}
To return to the default, use the
no advertise med guest-voice {vlan-id layer2_priority DSCP_value}
|
{priority-tagged number} command.
