Usage
Information
This feature is advertised to BGP neighbors through a capability advertisement. In receiver
only mode, BGP saves the advertised routes of peers that support this capability when they
restart.

Configure Internal BGP (IBGP) routers to accept external routes from neighbors with a local
AS number in the AS number path
Syntax
neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} local-as as-number [no-prepend]
To return to the default value, use the
no neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} local-as
command.
Parameters

Command Modes
ROUTER BGP
restart-time seconds Enter the keyword restart-time followed by the maximum
number of seconds needed to restart and bring-up all the peers.
Range: 1 to 3600 seconds
Default: 120 seconds
stale-path-time seconds
Enter the keyword stale-path-time followed by the maximum
number of seconds to wait before restarting a peers stale paths.
Default: 360 seconds.
role receiver-only
Enter the keyword role receiver-only to designate the local
router to support graceful restart as a receiver only.

ip-address
Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted decimal format.
peer-group-name
Enter the name of the peer group to set the advertisement interval for all
routers in the peer group.
as-number Enter the AS number to reset all neighbors belonging to that AS.
Range: 0-65535 (2-Byte) or
1-4294967295 (4-Byte) or
0.1-65535.65535 (Dotted format)
no prepend Specifies that local AS values are not prepended to announcements from
the neighbor.
