Set the largest SNMP packet size permitted when the SNMP server is receiving a request or generating
a reply, use the snmp-server packetsize global configuration command.

Configure a specific interface as the source for SNMP traffic.
Syntax
snmp-server trap-source interface
To disable sending traps out a specific interface, enter no snmp trap-source.

For this snmp-server trap-source command to be enabled, you must configure an IP address on the
interface and enable the interface configured as an SNMP trap source.

• For an 100/1000 Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
GigabitEthernet
followed by the slot/port information.
• For a 1-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
GigabitEthernet
followed by the slot/port information.
• For a Loopback interface, enter the keyword
loopback followed by a
number from 0 to 16383.
• For a SONET interface, enter the keyword
sonet followed by the slot/port
information.
• For a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface, enter the keyword
TenGigabitEthernet followed by the slot/port information.
