show hardware commands
The show hardware commands give information regarding the state of the hardware. The command syntax
defines the FPTM functional area:
BTM commands relate to the Buffer and Traffic Manager.
FPC commands relate to the Flexible Packet Classification.
The E-Series ExaScale commands also include additional keywords to make debugging and problem
identification easier:
Global drops counters
BTM register configurations
SFM commands
Some commands include sample display output when the command is run. It may not look like a standard
CLI output. Most of the information revealed with these commands will be useful to Dell Force10 TAC for
troubleshooting and debugging.
Switch Fabric commands
Display the status of bootup diagnostics with the show hardware {linecard | sfm} all tsf link-status
command. Using the linecard or sfm keyword specifies which direction of the link to check, as shown
below.
When line cards come up, they generate a checkin request to the RPM.
The RPM waits for all the cards to check -in and then initiates the loopback test (as discussed earlier in
this chapter).
After the loopback test runs, the system chooses whether to bring up the cards.
The link-status check commands are shown here. Figure 63-13 show an example of the output from one of
the commands.
show hardware linecard {0-13} port-set all tsf link-status
show hardware linecard {0-13} port-set {0-1 | all} tsf {details |
errors | status}
clear hardware linecard {0-13} port-set {0-1 | all} tsf {errors |
status}
