Displaying Logs
The switch maintains four logs:
• Event log (“Persistent log”) — exception messages and critical boot-up messages; saved on switch
reset
— Use the command
show eventlog.
• System log, “buffered log”) – system trace information; cleared on switch reset
— Use the commands
show logging or show logging history.
• List of logging hosts
— Use the command
show logging hosts.
• Traps – enabled trap events; cleared on switch reset
— Use the command
show logging traplogs.
