Setting the Enable Password
To change the Privileged Exec password (also called the “Enable” password) in SFTOS Version 2.3.1 and
above, you do so in Global Config mode. Enter
enable passwd, press Enter, and enter a new password:

Enabling Ports
When the switch is first installed, all ports are disabled. To enable all ports in Layer 2, enter no shutdown
all in Global Config mode (see Figure 3-13). Alternatively, you can use the no shutdown command in
Interface Config mode (for the selected interface — see Figure 3-14).
