To view active alarms and defects, use the show controllers sonet command in EXEC Privilege mode.
When an E-Series POS or 10GE WAN interface detects a SONET alarm, a Syslog and SNMP trap
message are generated containing information about the alarm condition.
SONET TRAP Example
SONET Traps describes the traps and OIDs for SONET alarms that are reported on an SNMP trap receiver.
The following output text shows an example of a SONET trap.
