Users Guide
Dell EMC Networking OS provides an option to enable the switch to detect when both stack links fail and shuts down all uplink (external)
and downlink (internal) ports. If one of the stack ports come up, the system brings up all the server facing ports and uplink ports
irrespective of the earlier status.
The following example depicts a 5-switch stacking setup. When both stack links do not fail on the same system, this functionality does not
disable internal and external ports.

Conguring Port Shutdown when Both Stack Links are Down
To automatically shut down ports when both stack links fail, follow these steps:
Congure the following command:
CONFIGURATION Mode
track-stack-ports disable-all-links
This command is available only in Stack mode of the FN-IOM.
NOTE
: Dell EMC networking recommends disabling UFD when you enable this feature.
DellEMC# configure
DellEMC(conf)# track-stack-ports disable-all-links
NOTE
: This conguration is recommended for a stack set up with only three or less units to avoid stack split.
