redistribute ospf process-id [match external {1 | 2} | match internal] [metric value] [route-
map map-name]
Congure the following parameters:
process-id: the range is from 1 to 65535.
metric: the range is from 0 to 16.
map-name: the name of a congured route map.
To view the current RIP conguration, use the show running-config command in EXEC mode or the show config command in
ROUTER RIP mode.
Assigning a Prex List to RIP Routes
Another method of controlling RIP (or any routing protocol) routing information is to lter the information through a prex list. A prex list is
applied to incoming or outgoing routes.
Those routes must meet the conditions of the prex list; if not, the system drops the route. Prex lists are globally applied on all interfaces
running RIP. Congure the prex list in PREFIX LIST mode prior to assigning it to the RIP process.
For conguration information about prex lists, refer to Access Control Lists (ACLs).
To apply prex lists to incoming or outgoing RIP routes, use the following commands.
Assign a congured prex list to all incoming RIP routes.
ROUTER RIP mode
distribute-list prefix-list-name in
Assign a congured prex list to all outgoing RIP routes.
ROUTER RIP mode
distribute-list prefix-list-name out
To view the current RIP conguration, use the show running-config command in EXEC mode or the show config command in
ROUTER RIP mode.
Setting the Send and Receive Version
To change the RIP version globally or on an interface in the system, use the following command.
To specify the RIP version, use the version command in ROUTER RIP mode. To set an interface to receive only one or the other version,
use the ip rip send version or the ip rip receive version commands in INTERFACE mode.
You can set one RIP version globally on the system using system. This command sets the RIP version for RIP trac on the interfaces
participating in RIP unless the interface was specically congured for a specic RIP version.
Set the RIP version sent and received on the system.
ROUTER RIP mode
version {1 | 2}
Set the RIP versions received on that interface.
INTERFACE mode
ip rip receive version [1] [2]
Set the RIP versions sent out on that interface.
INTERFACE mode
ip rip send version [1] [2]
