Deployment Guide
Standalone mode is the zero-touch auto conguration default mode. If you want the exibility to congure dierent settings, change the
FN I/O Module to PMUX mode. PMUX mode provides additional CLI commands to customize the software conguration, as needed.
You can congure any of the external Ethernet ports to operate as stack links.

Stacking mode
stack-unit unit iom-mode stack
CONFIGURATION mode
Dell(conf)#stack-unit 0 iom-mode stack
Select this mode to congure Stacking mode CLI commands.
The lower two external Ethernet ports (ports 9 and 10) operate as stack links.

Full Switch mode

CONFIGURATION mode
Dell(conf)#stack-unit 0 iom-mode full-switch
Select this mode to congure full switch CLI commands. Full-Switch mode oers Layer 2 or Layer 3 switching functionalities on the Dell
FX2 chassis.

Default Settings
The I/O Aggregator provides zero-touch conguration with the following default conguration settings:
• default user name (root)
• password (calvin)
• VLAN (vlan1) and IP address for in-band management (DHCP)
• IP address for out-of-band (OOB) management (DHCP)
• read-only SNMP community name (public)
• broadcast storm control (enabled in Standalone mode and disabled in VLT mode)
• IGMP multicast ooding (enabled)
• VLAN conguration (in Standalone mode, all ports belong to all VLANs)
You can change any of these default settings using the CLI. Refer to the appropriate chapter for details.
