Usage Information
When you apply a route map to outbound routes, only routes that match at least one section of the route map are
permitted.
If you identify a peer group by name, the peers in that peer group inherit the characteristics in the Route map used
in this command. If you identify a peer by IP address, the Route map overwrites either the inbound or outbound
policies on that peer.
neighbor route-reector-client
Congure the router as a route reector and the specied neighbors as members of the cluster.
Syntax
neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-name} route-reflector-client
To remove one or more neighbors from a cluster, use the no neighbor {ip-address | peer-group-
name} route-reflector-client command. If you delete all members of a cluster, you also delete the
route-reector conguration on the router.
Parameters
ip-address Enter the IP address of the neighbor in dotted decimal format.
peer-group-name Enter the name of the peer group.
All routers in the peer group receive routes from a route reector.

Usage Information
A route reector reects routes to the neighbors assigned to the cluster. Neighbors in the cluster do not need not
to be fully meshed. By default, when you use no route reflector, the internal BGP (IBGP) speakers in the
network must be fully meshed.
The rst time you enter this command, the router congures as a route reector and the specied BGP neighbors
congure as clients in the route-reector cluster.
When you remove all clients of a route reector using the no neighbor route-reflector-client
command, the router no longer functions as a route reector.
If the clients of a route reector are fully meshed, you can congure the route reector to not reect routes to
specied clients by using the no bgp client-to-client reflection command.
