Concept Guide

interface: deletes all entries for the specied interface.
Displaying the MAC Address Table
To display the MAC address table, use the following command.
Display the contents of the MAC address table.
EXEC Privilege mode
NOTE: This command is available only in PMUX mode.
show mac-address-table [address | aging-time [vlan vlan-id]| count | dynamic | interface |
static | vlan]
address: displays the specied entry.
aging-time: displays the congured aging-time.
count: displays the number of dynamic and static entries for all VLANs, and the total number of entries.
dynamic: displays only dynamic entries.
interface: displays only entries for the specied interface.
static: displays only static entries.
vlan: displays only entries for the specied VLAN.
Disabling MAC Address Learning on the System
You can congure the system to not learn MAC addresses from LACP and LLDP BPDUs.
To disable source MAC address learning from LACP and LLDP BPDUs, follow this procedure:
Disable source MAC address learning from LACP BPDUs.
CONFIGURATION mode
mac-address-table disable-learning lacp
Disable source MAC address learning from LLDP BPDUs.
CONFIGURATION mode
mac-address-table disable-learning lldp
Disable source MAC address learning from LACP and LLDP BPDUs.
CONFIGURATION mode
mac-address-table disable-learning
If you don’t use any option, the mac-address-table disable-learning command disables source MAC address learning from
both LACP and LLDP BPDUs.
NOTE
: You can use the mac-address-table disable-learning command only in Full–Switch mode.
Enabling port security
You can enable or disable port security feature globally on the Dell EMC Networking OS.
You can congure all the MAC address learning limit congurations, only if the port security is enabled on the Dell EMC Networking OS. If
the port security feature is disabled, all the interface level congurations are reset and all dynamically learnt MAC addresses on the
interfaces congured with MAC address learning limit are cleared.
